Whatever you call it, composite bonding, cosmetic dental bonding or direct composite veneers, it is the application of tooth coloured resin. We apply a dental resin material to your teeth to repair any decay, discolouration, fractures, chipping or gaps. Sometimes used in place of fillings, composite bonding protects portions of tooth root exposed by gum recession.
Your dentist cares about what you spend and sometimes uses bonding in place of porcelain veneers as a less expensive option for you however this resin chips and discolours easily. It is best to avoid biting your nails and chewing on hard objects such as hard candies or ice. We suggest staying away from drinking red wine, coffee, tea and smoking cigarettes 24-48 hours after your procedure. Note that we have no choice but to use porcelain veneers for more severe tooth damage.
