I am absolutely thrilled about being part of this wonderful community and the surrounding areas.
I look forward to getting to know my patients and feel it’s only fair they have the opportunity to know some things about me as well, so here are a few details about me: I grew up just outside of Vancouver and attended the University of British Columbia where I received a BSc in Nutritional Sciences. Although I try and eat a balanced diet I still love all foods and would love to hear your recommendations on places to eat in the city.
After my time at UBC, I moved to Boston and attended Boston University Goldman School of Dental Medicine where I earned my DMD. Living in Boston as a student was an amazing opportunity and I had a phenomenal time there. Almost half the population of Boston proper is students, which gives the city a unique and energetic atmosphere. If you ever find yourself in Boston, your must-see list should include Harvard, Fenway Park, Quincy Market and the Freedom Trail!
I moved from Boston to Pittsburgh, PA for a three-year Orthodontic residency at the University of Pittsburgh. Pittsburgh is a hidden gem. It’s young, vibrant, and has some amazing sports teams. Calgary is very similar to Pittsburgh as they both sit along a river and are both youthful, growing, and full of potential. Once I became an Orthodontist, I stayed in Pittsburgh and worked as an associate to gain more experience and hone my skills. In 2014, my wife and I decided it was time to return to Canada. I completed the Canadian dental specialty exam, obtained my Fellowship with the Royal College of Dentists of Canada and became a registered specialist in Alberta.
My wife, two toddlers, and I love it here in Calgary. Sure, it gets cold in the winter, but you can’t beat the sunshine! We love being close to the mountains and enjoy how friendly the people are here.
In my free time I enjoy running, playing soccer and volleyball, and exploring all Calgary has to offer with my family.
Thanks for reading about me. I look forward to meeting you soon
